Mission, Vision & Objectives
Mission
The mission of MCWAP is to provide free and quality medical services to the poor and needy pregnant women, new-born babies and infants. It endeavors to establish a close and trusting relationship with its patients and their families so that “No woman or child dies due to preventable causes in Pakistan.”Advocacy and empowerment of women through various methods including education and vocational training is its cross-cutting activity, aiming at the provision of integrated MCH services.
Vision
MCWAP’s vision is that no woman or child in Pakistan dies due to preventable causes. We aim to make this vision a reality by providing integrated maternal and child health (MCH) services.
Objectives
The main objectives of our MCH services are to:
- Decrease infant mortality rate (IMR) in our service areas.
- Decrease maternal mortality rate (MMR).
- Decrease crude birth rate (CBR).
- Decrease crude death rate (CDR).
- Increase contraceptive prevalence rate (CPR).
- Decrease population growth rate (PGR).
- Increase immunization prevalence rate.
- Promote health and hygiene awareness in school children.
- Promote women’s health and empowerment through education and behavior changes.
